Décor & Inspiration

Styling your home with our most popular design trends

20-11-2020

This week we’re chatting about some of our favourite styles and design trends, and how  as designers we draw inspiration and influence from them when helping guide our customers through the decisions and colour selections for their new homes in the Design Lab.

Here, we’ll look at 4 of the most popular styles we recommend to our clients;

Modern industrial

Simple, pared back and contemporary, the Modern Industrial scheme is popular for a number of reasons, not least of which is its versatility. Architectural design and modern polished finished combine in this mostly monochromatic scheme with timber flooring and neutral accents. This colour scheme is designed to allow the client’s unique style to shine through in their furniture, artwork and soft furnishing selections.

Hamptons style

Prized for its sophisticated beachy feel, this scheme was created to appeal to the classic Hamptons-style buyer. Featuring soft greys and classic style floor tile and tapware, this design scheme conjures up visions of luxurious seaside holidays. Complement with textural furnishings and statement lighting fixtures for a relaxed home that makes you feel like you’re always on holiday.

Contemporary Luxe

Striking, modern, and slightly more masculine than our other selections,, the contemporary luxe colour scheme is characterised by simple clean lines and open, uncluttered space, appealing to those who are seeking  a more industrial vibe in their home. This scheme is easy to adapt, with strategic colour substitution of lighter timber available to those wanting more of a Japandi vibe.

Light Coastal

One of the most frequent requests we get in the Design Lab is for a home that  feels ‘light and bright’. The architectural and design features in most Arden homes mean that this is a vibe that’s spectacularly effective, and quite easy for us as designers to help our clients execute. Light timber floors and cabinetry are offset by light, bright neutrals and chrome fixtures for a real Australian coastal feel.

Don’t forget, our goal is to help you design a home that you’ll absolutely adore – and asking questions is one of the best ways to maximise your time with us for a result you’re happy with.
