3 Egg-cellent Easter Table Settings

18-04-2019

At Arden, we’re passionate about creating homes that cater for all of life’s precious moments. For many families, one of those is the upcoming Easter holidays, which mark a significant celebration for many religions and cultures.

If you’re planning to host a spectacular Easter soirée in your home, we’ve got some table décor inspiration for you!

Autumn Fever

Although often globally associated with Spring, Easter occurs in autumn in Australia, so why not have an autumn themed table? And with such beautiful natural colours, tones and textures found throughout the season, it’s bound to make a ruggedly stunning table set-up.

Especially perfect if you have a wooden dining room table, this décor makes the most of wooden, rustic and natural materials. Think browns, greens, oranges and nudes for the colour scheme.

Use wooden chopping boards to serve your main dishes and desserts, and make use of linen or hessian materials for tablecloths, runners, placemats and napkins. Combining a variety of natural materials, textures and colours will provide a rich, rustic feel.

Decorate your table with twigs and leaves. You can create a garland that runs down the centre of the table, around a central vase, or place a selection of twigs, leaves and fairy lights in a glass vase for a more elegant feel. You may also like to decorate with gypsophila in mason jars or small glass vases for a more delicate touch.

A Floral Affair

Flowers go hand in hand with Easter – almost as much as chocolate! Spread Easter joy along your lunch table with a variety of flower arrangements, for a fantastically floral centrepiece.

You can be as symmetrical or random as you like, either using matching vases, or a selection of jugs, jars and vases to display your table’s blooming beautifications. Feature glass vases for a more subtle and elegant aesthetic, or choose coloured ceramic or wooden vases for a more bright and bold theme.

Your imagination’s the limit when it comes to deciding on a colour scheme. You can select flowers that adhere to specific colours and shades, or create a spectacular display of colour.

Perfectly Pastel

Nothing says Easter quite like pastel colours. Lemon yellow, mint green, soft lilac, baby blue and pale pink are all colours that scream Easter! You can combine all or a selection of these colours into your table décor, or simply pick one.

We love combining a variety of pastel tones, along with white accents, for a fun and playful Easter table set-up – which is a particularly perfect scheme for families with young children.

Decorate your table with a white table cloth, pastel confetti, colourful egg-cups, patterned serviettes and pastel-toned serving plates. You may also like to add extra flourishes such as a vase of flowers, floral garlands or twinkle lights for a bit of extra sparkle.

Tip: Why not head outside for your Easter celebrations? If the weather permits, an outdoor setting could be a wonderful way to revel in the fun, colourful and family-centred nature of the Easter holidays. If you’re in the process of building an Arden home, our sun courts are the perfect place to host outdoor entertainment all year round.

Whether you’ll be celebrating indoors or outdoors this Easter, our homes cater for all your family and entertainment needs. Large open spaces, bright and airy interiors, and intelligently designed spaces – there’s so much to love about an Arden home.
